I understand lending from my years in banking - the youngest AVP at Bank of America. Today I have put together a team that meets my high standards. Soon he built a large volume REO (foreclosure) business and became known as a premier agent in his marketplace. “My broker didn’t even know what an REO or a short sale was when I first started!” he says laughing. Then in 2010, he parlayed that success into a partnership with another local, top producing team and while most agents suffered, their business boomed. In 2011, with their combined efforts, their super pact did over 30 million in sales and earned the group numerous local and national awards. As for Matt, in addition to the team awards, he was also singled out for his efforts on the cover of Realtor Magazine as one of their ‘Top 30 Under 30’. “It was a great experience but it never would have been possible without the support of my clients, team, and partners.” Never to be complacent, Matt saw the next opportunity while others feared the worst. “I just couldn’t believe how low the sales prices were on most of our distressed inventory so I decided it was time to take the plunge.” In 2012, Matt went from broker to investor and co-founded a real estate investment group. He used his knowledge of the market, his professional network, and knack for seeing what others couldn’t to build a successful real estate investing business. “We rehabbed distressed properties and made beautiful new homes for people but really what I spent my days doing was raising capital, networking with national buyers and sellers, and bailing out distressed homeowners. I absolutely loved it!” Now that the tide has turned again Matt is excited to get back to helping homeowners directly and bringing his passion, commitment, and expertise to a new market. “Southern California, especially San Diego, has a special place in my heart and excited to be building a business, and a future, here.”
